Starting nursery tomorrow - any tips?

DD has been wearing knickers for a month and hasn't had any accidents for the past three weeks. She always says when she wants to sit on the potty.

She's starting nursery tomorrow - only for a couple of mornings a week at first, and it's for children aged 1-3 so obviously they deal with anything. Still, I don't want there to be any potty stress for her.

I'm planning to take her in for a couple of hours tomorrow, and before I leave her we'll go and have a look at the potties and talk about how she can tell the nice ladies if she needs to sit on the potty. I'll let them know what stage she is with it all, too.

Any more tips? Thanks! She seemed to take to the 'nice ladies' when we were there briefly last week, so I hope it'll be OK.

Take a bag with lots of clean pants and some wipes, and extra clothes. No dungarees as they take too long to undo/remove in a hurry, elasticated waists are best.

As she is 'new' the staff will probably prompt her to use the potty. They might potty another child at the same time, so that she doesn't feel singled out, or taken away from the fun activity she was so busy with.

Thanks, girlywhirly. Yes, she has an extensive collection of elasticated-waist trousers now! I'll send along a couple.

Hopefully she won't decide after seeing the younger children that nappies are cool...
