DD is 16 wks and since about 4 wks or so has just done one huge poo every few days. Now this seems to have suddenly changed and in the last 24 hours we've had about 6. Overall quantity seems the same, they are just a bit runnier and maybe slightly mucus-y (sorry tmi but I'm assuming this is what this thread is for!). Should I be worried?

She is breastfed by the way and seems very well in every other respect today.

DS started out doing about 6 poos a day for the first few weeks and now its usually 1-2 times a day but on the odd occaision it is back to 6 in a day but from what I read on other sites it is perfectly normal for this to vary from time to time. As for the consistency that also varies greatly especially now that we are weaning but even before then it was different some days.

Not sure that helps but hope it reassures you that it can change.
