bumgenious - do I need liners?

Have tried out a few different types of nappy and have settled on bumgenious as my favourites, so going to do a big order of those - but I don't know if I should be using any linerts, and if so whether fleece or paper would be best. DS is 4 weeks and EBF - so lots of liquid poo!

You do not need liners - you can use them if you wish but with liquid poo you will generally find the liner will just bunch up and make a channel for the poo to pool and run out somewhere. You will become hardcore and get used to the brown stuff !

thanks - I'll do without then and get used to the idea of sticking the whole lurid yellow mess in the machine!

i dont use them in my BG, but i do have to in some other makes, my dd is 21 months and it comes off easy, so i imagine bf poo would be the same if not easier.

which types did u trial out of interest? im trialing alot atm, trying to find a booster and nappy combo i agree with

I don't use a liner in my BG although we are on mostly solid poo but it just tips down the loo. And the fleece inner means baby stays dry from wee.

I used them with my newborn so that the worst of the stains were on the liners. i figured this might make the nappies more saleable in the future. i still use them now from habit, but stains are a lot less bad as his nappies are less explosive now he is nearly 1. they do make tipping poo down the loo easier now i find as the poo stays largely on liner.

I use fleece liners in them when I remember, as dh gets confused otherwise. They do help to keep the nappy stainfree, though BG seem to wash up pretty well anyway.
