I am having my 3rd in september. My youngest at the moment is 8.

I'm sure lots of people have bigger age gaps but i'm a bit worried about having such a large gap.

My first 2 only have 22 months between them so this is going to be weird. like starting all over again

My gap between ds1 and ds2 is 7 and a half years and they get on brilliantly. There's no competition between them because they're at completely different stages but the oldest is still young enough to want to play.

Pregnant with no. 3 now, and there'll be a 3 year age gap - not sure what to do with that one

I have a son who will be 18 in a fortnight and my dd is 6. i didn't plan for the gap it was just unfortunate.
Built in babysitter tho

Glad to hear they can get on so well even when there is such a big gap.

Like the idea of a babysitter on hand 24/7 flossie

The down side is if i tell one of them off the other one, big or small , tells me off!!
I think its a family trait for big gaps , my sisters are 8 and 12yrs older than me.

My DP has 2 DS, one's 24 years, the other 5 months!

4andnotout · 09/03/2009 12:30

There is 3.5 years between dd1 & dd2 mainly as i was a lone parent with dd1 and had to ensnare dp to have dd2
I have smaller gaps with a couple of mc inbetween with dd2-dd3 2.6yrs, dd3-dd4 13 months

thats funny and very cute how they stick up for each other flossie. i really hope that my DC are close to this baby. They are both very excited though and DD kiss my tummy to say hello to the baby!

Wow bearhug, thats a huge gap!
