I have read the various threads about reusables and got in a bit of a two&eight.

I am 33 weeks with DC3.

DD1 - 3.2 uses pull ups at night only. No need to change that.

DD2 - 18mo in disposables.

DC3 almost due.

I thought about reusables with DD1, but thought I had enough to be getting on with learning to be a parent.

I intended to use reusables with DD2, but didn't get around to it. She was born a bit prem.

I would really like to give it a bash with DC3. I'm thinking that birth to potty might be useful because I could change over DD2, too....

Wow, soon, she must be a champion wetter! Can't wait for the order to be processed. Am going for 3 of each colour except the Clementine. Didn't fancy that one, it reminded me of an old lady's suit!

I would highly recommend a minki pocket nappy at night with a heavy wetter. See www.nappiesbyminki.co.uk and quite a lot of general nappy websites sell them. You do need to put some heavyweight stuffing in it though. I used very heavy hemp prefolds.

Otherwise if you want a nappy and wrap I would go for a Night Notions by Wee Notions www.weenotions.co.uk with a wool wrap over - wool is brillaint for heavy wetters as it lets moisture evaporate!

Thanks mumfun. We have just got 2 minki pockets for this very reason. But I am still washing my bamboo inserts I bought for them as they were brand new so needed washing a good few times. Going to heavily loads them up! The hemp inserts are 8 layers each and I reackon I could get 2 in, with a microfibre one on top! So should last the night!! I did try the minki with some other inserts and stuffing that I had, but because I didn't have anything good enough quality - it was SO bulky and looked so uncomfortable.

I have also bought some wool wraps and when I can afford t, I want to invest in some night nappies to go under that. Just got to sell some of what we don't use to raise the money!
