Just started testing the water with DS(just turned two) no pressure just nakedness and sitting on the potty when he wants. We are moving house in a month and I am due a baby in 12 weeks so much disruption for him, but he has shwon an interest so we are just doing what suits and no harm if he regresses.

Problem is he will run about naked and NOT wee but if I put a nppy on him he does it right away. Should I just leave him in nappies? Or follow his interest and carry on?

It sounds like he's not quite ready. Just 2 is quite young.

Agree with Castille- he may not be ready yet.
My dd1 developed a phobia of potties- she would be dry all day in knickers, but would wait and do a huge wee when she had her pull up on at bed time. (She must have had great pelvic floors!)
Plus 2 big disruptions soon for him- I would wait for pants- but still have nappy free time aswell.

I agree 2 is young. But he has been asking for nappies off since 18 months, saying he has done a wee/poo for about 4 months now. Showing most of the signs that if I werent moving so soon i would dive in and get on with it. I think merry is right and I will continue naked time....no harm in that. If he gets it he gets it! if not there is no pressure on either of us. Oddly re potty phobia this afternoon he has asked to sit on the big toilet not his potty!..
