German homework - help!

This is homework for ds, we can't figure it out. Teacher said the first 3 dc to email him the correct answer get a prize tomorrow new forms of motivation.. OK, can anyone make 4 words out of these letters:

D EB EN EN SI TA US

MI ER ET LL M

EB SI EN

T R E IM E

No idea if the close together letters have to stay together or not and we have found 3 words SO LANG WIE which go in where the star is!

Thanks, we've given up , first word is siebentausend and 2nd to last word is sieben we think but the 2nd and last words seem to have some letter missing to be able to make a word (or one we know anyway!) we'll wait for the teacher's Lösung tomorrow!

I've checked the sums again and he got some wrong so we were racking our brains for the wrong letters! Anyway in the end it was Siebentausend millimeter sind so lang wie sieben meter!

10 dc sent their emails in by 4pm so the teacher sent a mail out to say no more emails please!
