We have lots of things going on with sleep at the moment. (His and our lack of it )

One area that I think would help is if he was able to relax more effectively before naps and bedtime. Until very recently he has wanted feeding to sleep or sometimes rocking, whereas now he's not keen on either- unless it's his bedtime feed which he still wants. He just seems so "jangly"- really wired and wound up, arms and legs going manic all over the place and just generally unable to chill out enough to get comfy and fall asleep.

Bed time isn't such a problem, a bath sort of helps him relax at that time of day but of course it's not practical to bathe him before each nap . Have tried massage but he's such a wriggly thing anyway that it doesn't work because he just won't stay in one place long enough for me to get proper skin on skin time.

Any suggestions on how else can I help him unwind?

How about some nice gentle music on quietly (classical prob best) and you cold snuggle up with him on your bed with some books? Bathe at night time if you can. If he will sit nicely with you, gently rubbing his back/tummy/whatever?
