I'm taking DD to visit my mum in the UK next week and I can't take my reusables with me. I'm going to have to order the disposables online in advance and I haven't got the foggyest how many I'm likely to need for two week

Would anyone be willing to enlighten me?

I usually worked on the basis of about one packet per week.

Prob about 5 a day?

TooMuchTV · 26/02/2009 13:27

being lazy environmentally aware when I put ds (5 mths) in disposables instead of washables I tend to only use 4 per day - 1 overnight (rarely poos overnight and don't change otherwise), then approx 6am 10am 2pm then 6pm for overnight again. Adding in an extra one for when he poos (which actually happens less than once per day I would allow 5 per day plus a few extra in the changing bag. So I would go for abouit 75 for a fortnight and hope to have a few left over

Excellent, thanks everyone! There are 34 in a pack (and I'm going for 12 days rather than 14) so hopefully I'll get away with two packs.

I guess I'm going to need two packs of wet wipes too then, does that sound right?

I hadn't realised what an expensive business it was. Ho hum.

Could you not just bring enough for a few days and then buy nappies/wipes in the UK? (we do sell them you know )

NorktasticNinja · 26/02/2009 14:14

Oh yes, I'm ordering the nappies and wipes in the UK but I want Nature Babycare ones and my mum claims not to be able to find them anywhere She is really useless in rural Lincolnshire though...

I'll bring a few with me but I'd like to know it's sorted.
