DS has had dry nappy in the morning - is he ready to go without?

He is 2y7m and pretty much potty trained himself during the day about 3 months ago. The past couple of mornings he has woken up with a dry nappy, demanding to use the toilet (in fact one morning he tried to go by himself).

This feels a bit early to me - what are your experiences?

DD went dry day and night at the same time...she was 2yrs 3 mths.

Youngest DS went dry at night at 2yrs 9 mths.

So he could be ready.

Why not try and see? Use a mattress protector, and double make the bed so you can just whip the wet sheet off incase of accidents, and have a spare duvet ready too.

Just get him to wee before bed, and make sure he knows where the potty is in his room.

good luck!

Thanks - I suppose the worst that can happen is wet sheets! May give it a go at the weekend...
