can someone help me make head or tail of how many points I need for an Open degree? Confused!

Ok, so I received a letter today saying that a pile of credit has successfully transferred onto my OU Open Degree (BA)

SO I have:

100 points at level 1
140 points at level 2 - 80 from credit transfer, 60 from OU course A210

SO, grand total of 240. I'm registered to start a new course this October, level 3 60 points.

I need 300 points for an Open degree. Simple, right? BUT, the website says: ''You need 300 points to get a degree without honours, of which at least 180 must be above Level 1 and, of these, at least 60 must be at Level 3''

but also says:''For a 300-point BA Open degree you need: at least 150 points from courses that are suitable for a BA and, of these, at least 60 are above Level 1.''

(c&P both of those quotes)

Can anyone help me figure this out? I'm getting myself more confused by the minute.

OK so if you do a 60 level 3 you would have:

100 @ level 1
140 @ level 2
60 @ level 3

So you fulfil at least 60 at level 3 & 200 are above level 1

But we don't know if these courses are suitable for a BA - I would assume as they have awarded previous study they know you want to do the BA Open so it should be OK

I think....maybe?

I think they're suitable, as they know I'm trying to get the Open Degree and awarded me 180 points out of 200 for previous study - ie they wouldn't transfer the last 20 points.

So you think that I'll get the degree after I (hopefully) pass the level 3 course?
