Iam interested to know what the real average time people's children spend on theirgame consoles or computer games on weekdays. for a child in Year 7 of secondary school what doyou let them on for on a typical "scghool day" evening? Children's tv programmes holdno interest now.Theissue is, time allowed onthe games.

I use to have a kind of unwritten rule of that once it was the evening meal, no games/computers etc would be turned on after that.
However, secondary school has changed things, as there is now homework to be done,so when my child does their homework[which they do], there is less free time left before supper anyway.

I am worried at how game consoles seem to be taking over as the past time of choice, but should I be worried? Is this just the normal game of choice now?

also, what time do you expect lights to be at bedtime for a Year 7 child?

What matters is that there is a healthy balance.
I have no idea if there are guidelines, though, sorry.
