How do I choose Uni?

Well, much to be celebrated- despite late application I have so far been offered three places (Education at UWIC at Religion at Gloucster / Newport). How on earth do I choose?
I can get to each from Bristol, which is where Dh works, and as he is off ill I might not even need to commute- no guarantee he'll be able t return to work, so we can move anywhere.
What do I do? Haven't been to any open days as wasn't going til next yar. Put Uni's in hat?

you could still go and have a look around the uni's i would strongly recommend it. Check out where the lecture theatres are, what provisions they have, buses ect. When i was chosing uni's i was certain that Bristol was for me until i visited one of my wild card choices and fell head over heels in love with Sheffield. If someone had told me when i was filling in my UCAS form that i would trun down Bristol i would have though they were mad!!

i would go and have a look at them all.

Also are there any particular aspects of the individual courses you perfer?

most departments will let you go and have an informal look around if you've missed the set open day

that would be the easy thing to do...i hadnt set foot inside my uni till the day i registered!
if you think that the courses are 'much of a muchness' then i would put em in a hat.
get someone else to pick it out...and you will know in your heart how you feel , when they read it out?

You sound like any older student, but it might still be worth looking at www.campusdirt.com which gives a student's perspective of the uni....also there used to be a publication called something like the alternative uni guide which again gave a more 'warts and all' picture of places.
Try to visit and try to talk to current students.....

Lots of good advice- I would also check out libraries, access to online journals and stuff like that. If you are studying from home a lot then good online access is enormously helpful (where the uni has subscribed to a journal and you have logins or whatever). Definitely go and look and get a feel for the campuses and facilities. Well done

i have exposed my cavalier attitude ..am feeling particularly flippant today!

Gong to see some, but babysitting is a bit of a problem as my Mum is ill and DH's doesn't seem to do the kids any more.

Fancy living in Chepstow which makes Newport an option. But woried about bridge tolls for DH? Can you go round / to the other bridge?

Would like bath spa but haven't had reply yet, my 'gaymate playmate' is off there- oh yes, and they do a good course!!!!

Reckon I should sell voptes to people for 50p then give money to charity- ah, but what if I change my mind???
