what is a teething necklace? sounds good!
we were given an amber necklace for our daughter when she was teething, supposedly naturally anaesthetic properties just from wearing it, but that sounds a wee bit hippy -- I was willing to try anything at that stage though!

What's wrong with Calpol?

I've got one! I bought on line just google baby amber necklace. Not sure if it works but my sister was given one for my nephew so I thought I'd get one for DD and she's never taken it off for over a year. Anything is worth a go.

My husband's aunt got it from the Amber Centre in central London - have just looked and they have a website: www.ambercentre.com
Green Baby used to sell them, but they stopped because they thought they were too dangerous for some reason - maybe theirs were too long or too brittle or something.
The one we have looks v safe to me.
I don't know if it worked with my dd - she is now two and just getting her last molars - I had forgotten about it but will let her wear it tomorrow and see! She always looked so weird as a tiny baby wearing a necklace, so I never put it on her much.

I've been recommended to buy one from www.myriadonline.co.uk, apparently they are very good and quick delivery. Going to order one there myself when I get paid, DS has just started teething (and they look cute too!)
