Dear All, my dd is 2yr 4mo and has been in pull up pants for about 3 months. We got her a potty on Sunday and sunday night was perfect. I also bought her some "in the night garden" knickers. She used the potty about 5 times on sunday only to do wee, no poo. Since then she doesn't really want her pants on and when she does she has accidents. On sunday i was saying to her that if needed a wee to sit on potty and she was as good as gold, but since then when i say sit on the potty she say no - is this normal, do you think that it is too early for me to be potty training?

Have you tried bribery? Chocolate suddenly motivated my DS1 at 27 months old. And sitting on the floor next to him reading books and cbeebies whenever he is on the potty.

i had this problem, i used sticker charts. i tried the chocolate bribery thing but he wasnt interested.
in the end i just tried him for a few days every month or two, until he was more co-operative. i think its just her age to be honest they can be uber stubborn between 2 and 3, my son is now 34 months and has just trained. i tried him about 3 weeks ago, and we had a whole week where he was happliy doing it, then started refusing to wear pants and throwing a fit everytime i tried to get him to go on the potty.

i think timing is everything with potty training. but certainly try sticker charts, thats what worked this time.

good luck
