Dd1 is 5+4 and still going strong with the pinkness. She will also allow purple now though .

DD went from PINK GIRL to loathing pink and wanting to be a tomboy at 6.

Erm - DD is 23 years and still likes pink

DD is 13 and everything in her room is shocking pink.

She also has pink tops, socks, converse boots, pens, school bag etc etc ad infinitum.

It is also bizzarely combined with the normal teenage emo ethic, so combined with ripped up old jeans and hats, and pink streaks in the hair (not my doing, done by dd and my stepson on the sly )

So, in to your question it never ends!

dd doesn't do pink.

orangina · 19/02/2009 09:56

Oh bugger, that wasn't the answer I was hoping for (I have 3+10 dd OBSESSED with pink)....

Ok, how about the glitter thing then? Can we hope that little girls grow out of it at about... 4?

(lives in hope but knows she is in denial)

Hulababy · 19/02/2009 10:02

My DD is 6 (7 in April) and still loves pink, valthough does team it with other colours too now. She has a pink room, pink accessories, etc which she has chosen.

I have no problem with it though, never have done.

I suspect the glitter thing lasts even longer, lol!

Since having DD and her being into her pink shades even DH adnd I have noticed more and more pink coming into our wardrobes. DH has a few pink shirts and ties, etc.

anyone think barbara Cartland when they saw the thread title? sorry

Kathyis6incheshigh · 19/02/2009 10:17

What's wrong with glitter anyway?

Aefondkiss · 19/02/2009 10:20

my dd was never fussed about colour as a toddler, she is now a tom girl(she is too girlie to be a tom boy) - so she likes being a super hero and stuff, doesn't play with dolls very much but her fave colour is pink, I can just about live with this....

jujumaman · 19/02/2009 10:43

don't worry it doesn't last

DD1 was obsessed between about 2.10 and 3.11 and freaked if I tried to put her in any other colour. I took her for an assessment at a private school near us and she went into orbit when they asked her to put yellow pegs in a board, yelling at the teacher. "No! I will not, I only like pink." She was also very upset the school had put her in the "yellow" group.

One morning she told me Mummy "I don't only like pink, I also like yellow, blue and sparkly black". This was only a month ago admittedly but she's now very adamant she likes all sorts of colours and just liking pink is "for babies".

So be cheered . Waiting to see what dd2 does now.

Acinonyx · 19/02/2009 11:19

DD, 3.5 is obsessed with all things sparkly and likes a lot of pink but also blue and red. Dh is a soft touch and she always ends up going to CM as a fairy princes if he volunteers to get her dressed.

EustaciaVye · 19/02/2009 11:21

My DDs lasted from about 3.10 to 4.8
She now likes purple/sparkly
