Hi all,
We don't need one of these for our 22 month old DS because we live in a flat BUT
we are going to my Mum's to stay next week and she has stairs - which DS isn't used to and sees as a real adventure.
I don't know ANYTHING about stairgates and all the different guises they come in. My Mum isn't keen on having one drilled in; can you get one that is less permanent and easy to put up but still keeps the child safe?
Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Argos sell a travel one which friction fits to the wall.

Yep get a travel one - Mothercare and all the other usual places have them too. Don't forget you will need to move it to the bottom of the stairs when you're downstairs so he doesn't climb up and then fall, sounds obvious but might be easy to overlook if you're not used to having stairs!

(At my parents' we ONLY have one at the bottom, upstairs there are big gaps in the banisters so we just have to say he isn't allowed upstairs at all unless behind a closed door or in cot!)
