My 15 month old puts his fingers down his throat repeatedly??

why? do you think it is teathing. sometimes i wonder if it is for attention? but he nearly makes himself sick and wretches. has anyne else experienced this? is it just a phase?

Hi newmummy27, my 13month dd does this also. I've googled it before and there are a lot of mums saying the same thing. Just tends to be discovering what they can do, then doing a lot of it. Once he finds something else, like finger up nose, or in ear, he'll do that a lot too. It's had being a mummy sometimes..worry, worry, worry!

Sounds like he has discovered his gag reflex. My dd did this at around 1 (I forget when) and I did my level best to ignore it (however disgusting it sounded) and it passed very quickly
