Also known as the 'fetal-infant origins hypothesis', it holds that fetal growth restriction is an important cause of some of the most common and serious medical disorders of later life, including diabetes. Underweight babies who grow rapidly and become overweight as adults have an increased risk of disease.

do you know of any other information about it?
