Modern Baby Pop-ins - size and nights?

I have a couple of these, and like them very much, enough to think about getting some more. If anyone is familiar with them can you please tell me:

Are they still good on bigger babies? My dd is 18lbs at 12months and the tapes don't have a lot of space left, if that makes sense.
Are they good at night? I haven't bought the wrapround boosters yet, but they seem to be so absorbent during the day that I'm considering getting the boosters and going for it. DD normally does about 12/13 hours and is not a heavy wetter, but it's all up front.

Thank you!

I used the night booster on its own for my DD who has now just hit 5 months. I don't have any other DCs so can't help with sizings, but I found them to be brilliant for nights, nothing escapes those legs!

I will let you know tomorrow! DD is 14 months, about 21 lbs and is in the MB pop in for the first time tonight. Has been leaking from a disposable at night for the last couple of weeks.

Oh and she wasn't uncomfortable considering she is used to a slim disposable and then had a bulky washble with all the layers in. Went straight to sleep!

Sounding promising! Those leg gussets are amazing.

I look forward to hearing how it went, s2b.

Thank you.

Right, she was a little wet this morning, had slightly leaked through. Although still less than a disposable. Think she must be a heavy wetter - never used to be! I am sure if I put a wrap over the top it would be fine though, or possibly an extra booster if it will fit in. I only have one so can't try again tonight but will wash tonight and try again tomorrow!

If your DD isn't a heavy wetter, she should be fine. Have you got a normal booster or microfibre cloth you could use to try it out? Then if she stays dry in that, you will know she will be ok with a proper booster?

Soon2be - That's a shame, had she leaked out of the leg or the waist? Are you sure that none of the booster was showing through the legs?

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/02/2009 19:12

Not sure, hubby changed her. None of the booster was showing though, I made extra sure of that before she went to bed. It was a tiny leak though, so might be fine on a different day. Will try again tomorrow!

Thanks for the update!

That's a pity that she leaked a little. I think I might order a booster anyway and try it out. All my microfibre cloths are used for cleaning, though I could try a fleece tpped booster.

Afterglow - If it is the Pop In night boosters you're after I have two for sale, one orange and one blue, both used but in good condition, blue has a bit of a stain on the elastic which will sun out. I'd like £3 for one posted first class, or £6 for two with recorded delivery.

If you'd like pics just to be sure I am not a con then take a look at this link!

When I was using my pop-ins for nights (v.successfully) I was using just the night booster and the flowery fleece top boosters also in that pic, I never had a leak but I wonder whether it might be size related, it does get rather massive with all the inserts in it, maybe it stretches the legs a bit?

afterglow · 18/02/2009 21:37

Thank you!I trust you I've sold and bought over there too, granted only one sale and one purchase.

The lollipop website seems to have a good price on them at the moment with free postage, so I was going to order from there

Good to hear that they worked for your lo for nights. What are you using now?

I used the Pop-Ins for quite a while but the only thing that put me off was that they aren't fleece lined, I really have a thing about it! I'm now using WeeNotions Night Notions, bamboo, micro-fleece lined and GORGEOUS! Oh, and expensive but we gloss over that part! !
