how to have a good day with 2 year old tantrums, with older child

I took DS1's terrible twos in my stride - gave him time, care and attention. but finding these strategies harder second time round.

DS2 is just starting to have a few hysterical screaming fits when he doesn't get his own way. We're fairly good at coping with them before they escalate but I'm finding it pretty wearing trying to take care of him and DS1 (just started school) and getting them to play if not together, then alongside each other.

I'm finding I'm getting very tense - like a constant PMT feeling! so I need some advice.

Do they have any shared interests at all? If not getting them to play together probably isn't going to happen.

I've got exactly the same problem and my patience is wearing very thinly and I've only got a 2 year old and a 'good' baby...heaven help me when the baby starts getting demanding!
