Does anyone else feel guilty about constantly hoiking baby in and out of various chairs???

Its strange, this, but I get totally paranoid about making 'too many' journeys in the car or buggy (mainly car) with my 1yo.

They are usually short journeys, ferrying 13yo dd about, but I hate that he always seems to be strapped in and restricted, and generally manhandled.

I suffer from depression and anxiety anyway, but this is making me feel like a really bad mother!

Is that weird??

No not weird...on busy days I feel sorry for dd4 16 months, car seat, pushchair etc! Try and make up for it by leaving a bit earlier so she can toddle a bit.
Don't beat yourself up about it...

Think of rather that your lo is at least getting out and about and seeing the world!

No i sometimes feel like all i ever do is take dd2 in and out of her car seat.
She goes in to school , out to drop ds off.
Back in to pre school , out to drop dd off.
Home.
In again to pick dd up , out to collect her.
In again home.
Same again for getting ds from school.
Added to that after school activites , shopping etc!

Not sure what else i can do to avoid this so accept it as part of essential travel.

Definately doesn't make a bad mother imo just necessary.
As long as doing lots of moving about in between.

Yep I felt like this today - took dd on the school run, she was asleep when we got back so left her in the buggy for an hour, then playing for an hour and a feed, back in the buggy and out for lunch - tho she was in a highchair all lunch, came home quick feed and then the damn school again tsk.

But on other days I try to balance it by staying in as much as possible and having other peoples babies round to see her instead.

And whats worse is that I have the devil's own brand of buggy - A Forward Facing One...
