sorry, no idea where to post this! DD, 5 months, and I are going to a new postnatal group for the under ones, and have been asked to suggest 'activities' we'd like to do, or speakers etc we'd like to hear talk. first week we did foot print painting and a nice sing-song. have asked if we can have someone talk us through basic first aid, and wondered if anyone had any other good ideas? thank you so much!

activities? god I'd prefer a nice sit down, a cup of tea and a chat lol

i'm probably not the right person to answer this thread.

We did baby massage at ours.
We also had the bookstart people in, but that may be a Scottish thing, i don't know?

Also, things for the Mums - post-natal excercise and that kind of thing.

we did have tea and a biscuit, i promise! i've looked up bookstart - looks great. we have been lucky enough to have a separate baby massage course, which was brilliant!

Songs, songs, more songs. Best books for babies, maybe to discuss what their top toys are, maybe propose a toy 'exchange'? One session I did was to write our biggest fear on a piece of paper, anonymously, and then the facilitator opened them and we all tried to discuss the issues and found that many other people had the same fears.

Session on best games or activities to play by age group (ish)
