Who is the Education Minister - not Ed Balls his Minister for Families etc...

just wondering as I dont seem to be able to find out?

It is Ed Balls. They rejuggled the department. There is a specific minister for Schools and Learning as part of that department. That is Jim Knight.

I think Jim Knight was called 'Education Minister' on Radio 5 Live this afternoon. Only caught a bit of it but in the context of his blog that was full of spelling errors! here

OK, basically...

Ed Balls is the head (Secretary of State) of the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

Jim Knight is a more junior minister in his department (Minister of State) who is responsible for the "Schools" part of Children, Schools and Families.
