I like Alice too. My favourite childhood book was Alice in wonderland.

I'd hate it shortened to Al or ally though.

We have a Bryony, & we call her B, there are no other b's in her class.

And Amelia may well be shortend to Millie.

Anna?

DS would have been Amelia but glad we didn't have to use it. It's very popular now.

I like Briony (didn't use to, but know a sweet one).

mummyloveslucy - they were and still are utterly delicious
They are my fave and only girls - I seem to only look after boys!

Amelia "goes" better with Lucy IMO. Both nice names, though.

Clara?
Tabitha?
Phoebe?

Frasersmum123 · 03/02/2009 11:32

I love Phoebe, Charlotte and Lily.

Briony always reminds me of brine - sorry! I also know I Briony and it always gets shortened to Bri, which is what my mum calls my dad, who is Brian.

Thin Amelia is lovely though!

My brother is a very keen gardener, and always rants about people calling their children Briony "Why call your daughter after a poisonous plant? Why not call her Deadly Nghtshade and have done with it?"

CarryOnUpTheLiffey · 03/02/2009 14:24

I'd choose Bryony or something like Bryony. Amelia is a bit 'oh right' at this point. When I was pg 7 yrs ago my entire nhs circle had it on their list.

branflake81 · 03/02/2009 20:48

Bryony is my mother's name and Amelia is my sister's!
