Anyone used either of these and what do they think? I like both of them but they both leaked with dd at 7 weeks - do I just need to let her fatten up? [smile} I love the patterns tbh, don't know about the working bits!!

Bumping for you...

Have you washed then a few times before use to get the absorbency up? Also if her legs are scrawny still that'll be the problem, you could try angling the velcro to get the holes smaller, and make sure you've poppered down the front as far as you can, otherwise you may have to wait till she's about 9-10lb to get chubby enough legs.

I might not have washed them enough, I'll give that a go

Have you got the sized Nature Babies or the onesize ones? And if they're onesize, are they the V1 or V@, popper or velcro? I like the popper ones best, and the sized ones are best for tiny ones. The onesize are a bit tricky until they get a bit bigger. Which inserts are you using?
Haven't used Tots Bots, as I prefer to buy British manufactured nappies, and these are made in Turkey now, I believe.

I've got the one size, v2 with velcro. DD is allmost a stone in weight now but they still just don't seem to fit. Hmm...

I never got on with stuffables alway got leaks!

Quidditch · 01/02/2009 19:44

If you've got onesize I'd leave them for a few more weeks until she's chubbier. Then they should be fine. I really like them, but at the smaller end they just aren't close fitting enough. My favorite onesize pocket is a French one called ptits dessous, which is good even at the tiny size, and fits as big or even bigger than the Stuffables. They don't do any prints though, only plain colours, and they're only popper fastening, but then I prefer popper fastenings anyway!

quidditch - are tots bots not made in Carntyne Industrial estate,Carntyne, glasgow,????

Quidditch · 01/02/2009 21:45

I'd been told they'd transferred to Turkey. Maybe someone else knows?

NorktasticNinja · 02/02/2009 08:41

Tots have been made in Turkey for quite some time now (at least a couple of years), they have 3 factories there IIRC.

pbo · 02/02/2009 08:45

It says made in Turkey on the label, I just checked

Nature Babies, Easy Peasy nappies, WeeNotions, Pocket Bots,Babeco, Ellas Houes, Nappies by Minki, and Hip Hip Baby are all made in UK! I've recently researched this, as I don't think importing nappies at any time is very eco-friendly, and at the moment it's a nonsense, with the £ where it is!

www.littlepants.co.uk has the right sort of ethics for this, even though it doesn't stick to only UK produced nappies - only European though!

dsrplus8 · 02/02/2009 12:57

your defo on the not eco being imported!but to be honest i just like the idea of buying british to support home grown business. nice to think person down the road has made a lovely comfy nappy for my dd!

4andnotout · 02/02/2009 21:23

I have it on good authority that totsbots are switching manafacture back to the uk as the quality wasn't up to scratch.
