She was only 2 at the beginning of the month but insisted on knickers from 18mths and has been pretty much dry from 20mths. Have no chance of getting a nappy on her and am getting fed up of pee covered stairs[luckily I didnt redecorate/carpet the hall before christmas]
I will take her to the toilet then 5 mins later she will wee on the stairs and is completely defiente about it like a dog marking its territory

Child gates at the top and bottom and a good talking to/reward system?

Stop her having unsupervised access to the stairs? She is very young to be going up and down stairs without supervision anyway.

geepers my children have always been allowed up and down the stairs to their bedrooms etc and she is capable of going to the toilet alone she is doing it to be naughty because she thinks it is funny.

Let her know in no uncertain terms that it is not funny. If she were mine I'd be yelling at her, which at first would have the opposite effect but eventually she would get the message, if she were my 2 yo DD2 that is. Do you do shouting?

Nemoandthefishes · 29/01/2009 09:32

shitemum not usually but just have as again she peed on the stairs so just shouted told her why its naughty and where she should wee.

I have a copy of 'I want my potty' I could send you. Only thing is it ends with the child having an accident on the floor which is a bit counterproductive to the message really...

It's a hard one, as if you get mad with them they tend to get worse ime, a bit like cats!

Make her clean it up herself with very cold water.
