DD who is 2.5 is currently in a junior bed and I want to put her in a full size single for the novelty factor of having a new bed may actually make her sleep better (lol dream on)

Any way, Im looking for a decent single bed that will last DD for years, any advice - I'd like a wooden one.

Don't like the ones from argos, or john lewis

space or white co (tres expensive tho)

although we had a nice 'iron' bed in white from Argos with a premium mattresss which looks quite Laura Ashley?

Do you have a good small independent furniture shop near you? That's where we bought ds's bed. They gave us good advice, we could try it in the shop and see what we were getting.

oh dear, what about Laura Ashley online.

Our really posh neighbours had a bed for their princess daughter delivered from Harrods. Prats, but worth a look?

How about an antique shop for something different?

Ebay? If you can be bothered, but once saw a lovely pair of old beds on there and should have gone for them.

My daughter has a Temper bed, It's that memory foam one. The bace is romote controll, so I can tilt the back rest slightly if she has a cough etc.
It was expencive and it's not perticulally attractive. (We have a lovely american quilt over hers, and a lovely head board).
It has been amazing though. She sleeps soo well. It's been worth it's weight in gold.

I like Laura ashley too, most of our house is Laura Ashley.
I'm useless at interior design so I look for pictures in a brocure and copy it.
You could go for a Laura Ashley bed with a temper matrace?

Have you considered Flexa? Can have as low bed or cabin bed, and can be converted/added to etc as they grow.

Try Alphabeds [www.alphabeds.co.uk]- really lovely company based in Wales, everything is very solid and wholesome and they are soooo helpful and reliable.
Got our double bed from there and DD's new big girl's bed. She kisses it every night.
