I simply didn't leave out some pull ups for tonight as I forgot. He has been dry in the day for about 9 months. He gets up at about 6am to go to the loo anyway so I think it's time.

Now...how does it work tonight? Do I lift him on to a potty or big toilet before I go to bed? He is making a big deal of it so far...out of bed to go to the loo and proud of himself.

I was not anticipating tonight so any help would be gratefully received!

I would start by not lifting him and see how he gets on. DD decided just after her 3rd birthday that she didnt want to wear nappies and so we let her go to bed with just her nighty/jammies on. She never had an accident. When she had a phase of wetting the bed sometime after that we did lift but it was only for a short time and we always made sure she was sort of awake so that she wasn't just learning to wee in her sleep.
