Think I might have left it way too long DS1 is 8.

DD1 has a go - she's 5.1

Needs help sometimes

DS started last year at 3yo to eat alone, now cuts up his own food but still needs some assistance. He can put nutella on his bread alone though

Sorry - I hardly ever cut up their food! We'll do DD3's for her (2) but mostly we serve food that doens't need cutting up, or at least can be done easily by them. We'll cut up hard things like sausages for DD1 (5.5).

DD is just 4 and ds is nearly 3. I always give them their food uncut and they request help with the things they find hard, normally meat- either that or they eat with their hands.

TBH I think you should start encouraging ds to do it himself - How does he cope at friends houses/school?

DD2 and 3 - about 4 or so. DD1 is 11 and I still need to cut up a lot of her food. She is dyspraxic and also has trouble with scissors etc.
