If you could only choose 2 nappies.......

Okay for all cloth users, time to put your money where you mouth is!

If you could only choose 2 brands of nappy to use, 1 day and 1 night plus wraps/boosters/inserts if required what would they be.

You get a 2 choices for each weight range ie
Newborn, Small (10-16lbs) Medium (15-22lbs) and Large (22-30lbs)

Am hoping this might actually make me make my mind up before ds arrives in April!

For all weight ranges (as btp) Babybeehinds in hemp and tots bots bamboo poppers, both for day or night.

Wraps Mothease Airflow for day, my own wool wraps for night.

Maveta · 23/01/2009 15:58

for all weight ranges (as btp) - Bumgenius

At night I use disposables - tried a million things when he was little and just didn't manage at all.

ceb80 · 23/01/2009 16:03

Oohh that helps as they are already on my list, not sure if I should have added a budget option and a money no object option!

Deemented · 23/01/2009 16:13

Oh you can't possibly make me choose!!!

For day...

Wee Notions One Size.... Upsy Daisy... Minnie O's or Puddlepants Weedies under wool...

For night under wool

Hollow Oaks with hemp tri fold snap in... Wee Notions Night Notions.... Holdens Landings... Jimmy Riddles....

I could go on and on....

lollipopmother · 23/01/2009 16:21

Newborn - XS Sandy's and XS Airflow for days, I used Bumhuggers for nights but don't actually like them

Small - Itti Bitti D'lish (but in size medium), nights are Pop-Ins but may well change that to WeeNotions Night Notions under an undecided wrap atm!

Medium and Large will hopefully be the same as above.

You really can't beat a Sandy's and wrap imo but Itti's are nicer to look at and easier to use, but nothing will ever be as 100% reliable as a Sandy's.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 23/01/2009 16:24
  1. Sandy's extra small
  2. Bum Genius all in one
ilovemydogandMrObama · 23/01/2009 16:27

ilovemydog what about wraps.... you can't leave me hanging!

So far, I would stick to tots bots with a motherease wrap. My tots bots are birth to potty size with nippas and fit ds really well, and ditto the large Motherease Airflow wraps.

ceb80 · 23/01/2009 16:46

littlelamb thought your user name would give you away but its seems not! What are your tots bots made out of?

They are just white cotton ones. I got them for £25 for the whole birth to potty pack in TK Maxx a few months ago (there was a big thread about it at the time). I have found them to be brilliant, we don't have a tumble drier or outside line so we dry on airers inside which I thought would be a pain but it's really no hassle. The wraps that came with them are no good for night time but ok for the day.

cmotdibbler · 23/01/2009 16:52

Newborn - XS Sandys and airflow, Small (10-16lbs) Small Sandys plus Airflow, Baby Beehinds plus airflow for night Medium (15-22lbs) Blueberry plus Baby Beehind and Large (22-30lbs) Fuzzi Bunz, Baby Beehind for night

I love the Blueberrys but they didn't fit my DS very well at the top end of the weight range

georgimama · 23/01/2009 16:54

Terry squares with mother-ease wraps.

trufflebum · 23/01/2009 18:14

hands down, quick flips and nappy elite wraps for both sizes- yes only two sizes to fit from birth to potty. They do day and night and can be easily boosted if needed, and the wraps are leakproof and pretty.
Wouldn't bother with anything else as they flexibly fit all shapes of babies, and really when you work all day who wants to be fussing about which nappy is left out for the help to put on at night?

CarGirl · 23/01/2009 18:16

bumbles with motherease air flows

and some bamboo nappies like quick flips

thesockmonsterofdoom · 23/01/2009 18:18

motherease airflow, or totsbots wraps fpr every size, any tots bots, ellas house hemp, good for all the size rnges here, we had very skinny dc.

littlelamb · 23/01/2009 18:20

Interesting sockmonster, as my ds is as chunky as they come, but the Tots Bots and Motherease fit him perfectly too!

Isaidno · 23/01/2009 19:10

night nappy - baby beehinds hemp, with wool wrap

day - nature babies lovable bamboo terry with me wrap ( or maybe bamboozle..)

This is very hard as I have about a zillion different nappies and like all of them for different times and reasons!

ceb80 · 23/01/2009 19:46

wow this is interesting, quite a range but Baby beehinds seem to be winning as night nappy. Might have to be sad and put it into a spreadsheet!

Isaidno · 23/01/2009 20:30

Actually I would be far too bored if I were to have only 1 type of day nappy.
The ones I have most of is MEOS, and they are great but too boring!

lollipopmother · 23/01/2009 20:31

I couldn't have the same nappy for day and night either. I have loooooads of Itti's now but I do still have some Sandy's and Bamboozles for other occasions and that's just for the day.

swampster · 24/01/2009 00:34

Newborn: XS Sandy's with teeny tiny Airflow wraps and teeny tiny fleecy Stacinator wrap for nights.

Ever after: Baby Beehinds with Stacinator wrap for nights, BumGenius and Itti Bittis for day (don't force me to give up my Ittis!).

Plus a few Airflows in all sizes thrown in for good measure.

swampster · 24/01/2009 00:40

Though I do think the ultimate night nappy might well be a Holdens Landing Bedbug. And she can do them with a built-in fleece outer so it is my ultimate AIO night nappy! But they price says I probably will never find...
