DD is 2.7 and we have had abit of a nightmare with her potty training. We started at 2.3 because all the signs were there and we quickly got the association of weeing and pooing on the potty, no problems. She even started off asking for the toilet a few times. She has had periods of days where she has had no accidents at all. She does have toddler diarroheoa which is now well controlled, but she had a few problems with that, but I never told her off for any accidents or anything.

Then she has periods of time where she is really unreliable especially at home. She never asks me to use the potty but she will go when I prompt her which is fine, but then other times she will throw a fit and then wet herself five minutes later.

Today I found out that she always asks to use the toilet at nursery. So I know that she can do it and there is some other reason for all this inconsistency, but what? I have been beating myself up thinking that it was my fault and we started too early, but clearly not if she does it at nursery! It muyst just be me, perhaps I am in a battle of wills with her? She is very headstrong and so am I Help!!!!

Just constantly asking her if she wants to use the potty, also found that she will use it quite happily on her own with knickers on,I think she struggles with the trousers and also in nursery they see other children asking or using the loos.
