Has anyone followed the Gina Ford 'Potty train in one week' methods?

I haven't read it but dsd's mum used it when she was potty trained and she was dry within a week (give or take one or two little accidents). She did leave it quite late though (not massively so, but I suspect dsd could have been trained a few months earlier). I'm not sure if that is part of the method though ?

Well I bought it when DS was almost 3. Read it on a Friday night in bed and DS woke up on Saturday morning and declared he wasn't wearing nappies any more! Not sure if it was the book or not!

ha buda, that happened to me with zita west's get pg book, up stick by the time it was due back at library after 2 years of trying.

ds was out of nappies in a week without gina, i do think once they are ready it isn't too much of a palaver (usually)
