DD has a 2.5 tog grobag, short sleeved vest and PJ's, but woke up cold this morning. I'm not sure whether to use a blanket or put more clothes on her. What do other people do?

cotton pjs, cotton blanket(s)

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 21/01/2009 15:39

pjs and a duvet. its bloody cold this winter.

VinegarTits · 21/01/2009 15:39

DS2(2.5) wears pj's, we co-sleep and he always kicks the covers off, i wake up freezing with no cover, then when i lean over a feel him he is always still warm

Some night he gets so hot that i just leave a vest on him, that way he doesnt seem to kick the covers off as much

He is a hot little thing

at 2.5 ds 1 was in a single bed with a duvet and pyjamas

ds 2 on the other hand will probably still be in his cot + growbag for the rest of eternity

Tigerschick · 21/01/2009 15:40

Cotton vest (just a singlet style one) and cotton pjs.
4.5 tog duvet.
If it's really cold I put a fleecy blanket over the top.

She's a really warm person generally so doesn't feel the cold even tho it can get quite chilly in her bedroom at night.

LadyOfWaffle · 21/01/2009 15:43

PJs, vest, a quilt and a fleece blanket folded in two. If it's very cold I will put tracksuit bottoms on and socks as he kicks off the blankets. I find duvets too heavy - if it falls slightly off the bed the rest gets dragged off.

CatIsSleepy · 21/01/2009 15:47

dd has a 2.5 tog grobag and a blanket, and long-sleeved pjs

am rather upset she still resolutely refuses to even consider the lovely duvet I bought her before christmas

norksinmywaistband · 21/01/2009 15:49

PJ's
Sleeps in a normal bed with a duvet

PinkTulips · 21/01/2009 16:10

ds has long sleeved pjs, a thinish duvet folded up so he's half on and half under it as he loses it halfway through the night otherwise and a microfibre throw folded in quarters over that.

but we have the heating on hardly at all and their room is a freezer so he really needs all that or he's icey half way through the night

ohdearwhatamess · 21/01/2009 16:14

Thick PJs (with t-shirt underneath if very cold), 13.5 tog single duvet.

Flier · 21/01/2009 16:20

PJs (sometimes with a vest), a 2.5 tog grobag, a sheet and a blanket.

we have a cold house

Nemoandthefishes · 21/01/2009 16:22

at the min dd1[3.1] and dd2[2] wear fleece pjs but usually normal pjs with duvets both times.

Lizzylou · 21/01/2009 16:23

PJ's and vest, duvet on top

ThingOne · 21/01/2009 16:25

PJs or a sleep suit (no feet) under a duvet. Either in bed with his big brother or snuggled up to us. Sadly won't contemplate grobags anymore! Bodies are clearly better .

mejon · 21/01/2009 16:58

Long sleeved vest, pjs and a 2.5 tog grobag. If its really cold, I'll put socks on her and cover her with a light blanket/quilt just before I go to bed.

meandjoe · 21/01/2009 17:08

my 17 month old woke up cold this morning too, he wears a short sleeved vest, fleecey pjs but not sure what to do as he's in a sleeping bag and would never keep covers on, he wakes up facing oposite end of the cot most mornings as he moves around so much.

cherrylips · 21/01/2009 19:03

co - sleep with dd1. vest and pjs and duvet.

Seona1973 · 21/01/2009 20:03

ds has a short sleeved vest, pj's, a 2.5tog grobag and a lightweight blanket over the top. His room gets down to 14/15 degrees at the moment.

sheena1 · 21/01/2009 20:09

my dd 2.10 wears pj's with quilt n 2 blankets its freezin up here in scotland my ds 11 months all in 1 fleece suite quilt and a light blanket

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 21/01/2009 20:10

Short sleeved vest and either walk-in sleeper, or jamas and walk in sleeper if it's cold. If it's warm she just wears vest and jamas.

PinkFurryStripeyTiger · 21/01/2009 20:10

Oh she does have bedding but usually sleeps on top of it!

2pt4kids · 21/01/2009 20:10

PJs and a normal 10 tog duvet

lifesaboxochoccies · 21/01/2009 20:27

ds 2.10 wears a vest and jarmies, duvet and blanket its freeeeeeeeeeezin this winter!!!

Gemzooks · 21/01/2009 20:54

ds 2.3 has a very cold room. He has a vest, warm pajamas, a duvet and 2 blankets..

dinkystinky · 21/01/2009 21:00

DS is in cotton pjs and duvet - in the cold weather we put a 1.5 tog grobag on him too (as he otherwise complains of feeling too cold)
