my ds 2.6 is so far not potty trained but the last few weeks he has a disgusting habit of when hes done a poo putting his hand down the back or front of his nappy and getting poo on his hands .
so what i want to know is -is this a sign that he wants to start potty traning or is he just being a dirty little sod ?

He's doing it because he can. You could try toilet training but it really depends if you think he is ready.

My DS3 (who was 2.2 at the time) used to do this when I had DS4. Whilst I was BF he used to take his nappy off and then smear it everywhere before I could get to him. I did potty train him but he wasn't really ready and I had loads of poo accidents until he was 3+.

Good luck.

it feels all squishy and warm... he just wants to touch it... sorry!

can you put nappies or pants on him that are too tight for him to get his hands down?

he alaways has his hands in the nappy no matter how tight the trousers ,i think its not really that he like to touch his poo that hes just copping a feel and sometines theres poo in there .he has shown no signs at all that he wants to potty train and really id like to leave it till the summer.
it really does make me feel sick though
