Did you find that with your second (or more) child, you still used the same amount of stuff? Mainly toys etc when you had all of the older child's toys?

SOrry I know it is an odd question but I basically need to sell a lot of our stuff as we have DC2 due in april and DD has so much stuff and I have so much stuff for childminding too. DD has big toys that I got cheap second hand anyway so not worried about loosing money out of it, but worried I will regret getting rid of it when DC2 gets to that age? I mean big bulky toys such as:

  • Activity station
  • Fisher price helter skelter thing for balls
  • baby walker
Etc

Just stuff like that in general rather than the partiular items. They have been used a lot for DD but then I wonder if we should just get rid of them and if we find we do need them we can always buy similar off ebay etc?

Need some space!

I don't think you'll miss any of those things. Especially if you don't have much space - you're definitely better off without a baby walker.

If you've got smaller toys like a shape sorter, balls, etc, then you don't need any of the big "activity" style toys. I'm sure you won't miss them.

We actually already got rid of the baby walker last week, but I couldn't think of many examples off the top of my head! lol. My DD is only 1 so has loads of toys that are suitable for the baby, it isn't like she is off playing with lego. So I think we should be fine.

DD still actually uses these things, but something has got to go! She loves the ball thing from fisher price but it is just so big!

toddler groups always have big toys - they can always play with them there (that's why I don't have playdough )

That is true about toddler groups. If only I could find all the balls to this tower thing! Argh! Could probably get an ok price for it if it was all there! We have them all somewhere!
