I try to change my DS every 3-4 hours. Would you say that is probably too much? How often do you change your LO?

Probably about the same, depends on how much he's had to drink tbh. We've also had lots of leaking issues on many different brands and sizes.

thanks for that littleboyblue, it is reassuring that I am not been too paranoid

new nappy in morning obv
change after lunch then nap
new nappy in evening

only change in between those times for poo and if her nappy feels heavy if shes been drinking lots

so pretty much about the same!

Well yesterday I swapped her for a pig but found getting it in the carseat a bit wearing. Today I have changed the pig for a duck which solved the carseat problem but nobody can get in the bath.

In the morning, when he has a poo, and at bedtime. Sometimes once more. He seems fine with it. He does spend a good few hours nappyless most afternoons too.

Geepers · 17/01/2009 18:58

My daughter is now potty trained, but I changed her as soon as I noticed she was wet, so sometimes every hour, sometimes less.

AliceTheCamel, does that mean if he doesn't spend any time nappyless, and doesn't have a poo, you only change his nappy twice a day?

DS has new nappy in the morning, then around lunchtime then after bath. He's also changed when he poos, so he usually goes through 4 or 5 in 24 hours

WriggleJiggle · 18/01/2009 01:21

After breakfast, usually after lunch (unless it is still fairly dry), after bath, so either 2 or 3 times a day.

If it is pooey it gets changed straight away (but then I probably would still only end up with 2 or 3 changes in the day.

thanks for all your replies. I forgot to mention that we use real nappies here so probably does not last as long as disposables... I am glad I do not seem to be too OTT about it
