any ideas for what to do on the weekend??

DH works weekends and I am at a bit of a loss at what to do with DCs on my own especially because of the age difference (12 yr old DD, 7 & 5 yr old DSs). Although DD has made quite a few friends at sec school, she does not make plans with them at the weekend (despite me encouraging her) so has to make do with me and DSs. They seem to spend all weekend arguing over the TV, computer and Wii and I am sick of it.

We do go to the library and into town but that's not much fun as DSs are a pita and DD says she's embarrassed to be seen with us . I have been taking them out on their bikes but that is extremely stressful, can't do swimming as cannot take 2 under 8s (H&S rules!), don't want to take them walking in the woods on my own as afraid!!, DD too old for playcentres, cinema is just more TV etc...

I don't want them indoors all weekend so anyone got any ideas??

I was going to suggest Library, bike riding, swimming or walking.
So that's rained on my parade!
Do you have a garden? Have a garden tidy up (and maybe visit a garden centre, let each child choose one plant?) and then come in and warm up with hot choc and a family movie with a cuddle on the sofa.

Thanks ladies - ice skating would be nice but I could not manage to hold onto the DSs and keep myself upright!!

Unfortunately as we've not been in our area for that long - I don't have any friends !!

They do clubs after school but will def have to look into something else for the weekend I think.

Wish DH could bloody well change jobs!!
