How oftern does your 1 year old poo?

I ma slightly concerned about my 1 year old. She is only very slight and chaned from an adventourous eater 3 months ago after a virus to really only enjoying home made cheesy veg and cottage pie. She also loves weetabix and banana for breakfast.

I am starting with finger food at lunch time but she is never ravenous I find only for her morning milk.

She is stll on 20lb at 12 month which in comparison to other babies her age is slight!

She has never been a massive milk drink, now only has about 14oz a day.

I am going to see the hv on MOnday as slightly concerned about the amount of poo there is a day.

Some days they can average between 2 and 5! I don't think she has a bug because she is generally fine and still sleeping 12-13hrs a night, during which she never soils her nappy.

Is this completely normal??

twice a day most days and still does at 18 months. i wouldn't worry unless she has upset tummy.
my dd is 19lb now so weight nothing to worry about.

MIne did around 3 a day at that age. One after every meal. Slowed down to 1, sometimes 2 a day now he's older.

I wouldn't worry too much, DS is about 22lb at the moment and he's 13 months old. They tail off a bit at this age I think.

When he hit about 11.5 months his food intake dramatically dropped, he's eating about half of what he was a couple of months ago but hasn't lost weight and I think he's getting taller.

Dirty nappies usually once a day, occasionally twice.

Ds 14mo does 1-2 a day but is a poor eater, only weighs 18lb HTH

Rubysmom08 · 16/01/2009 16:13

just our interest here is what she will eat on a normal day- yesterday she had...

7oz milk
1.5 weetabix+ a whole banana + 4oz milk
1/4 slice of toast

half a kids sainsburys pizza
carrots, brocoli and piece of duck
4 quavers
1 chocolate finger
1 100g petit filous

plastic cup size portion of cottage pie
3 mini cheddars
100g petit filous or sometimes a fruit smoothie (banana +kiwi+ grapes+ apple)

4 oz milk

do you think is enough?

Yes it is enough I think. It is more than my DD eats at the mo and she is the same age and weight as yours.

ilovetochat · 16/01/2009 20:14

my dd eats about that but would have snacks between meals too, like raisins, kiwi, rice crackers etc.
