Just found this message written on the underside of a brand new board game lid that DS got for christmas:

"Fuck you mum and (DS1) "

No idea when it was written because he kicks off so often, it could have been anytime. But what would you do? He's 8 btw

Oh dear poor you

Does he swear usually or must that have been a particularly bad mood? I would probably ask him why he wrote it, not get really angry though so he doesn't feel attacked and can actually tell you, and then afterwards point out that he shouldn't use that language. but that's just me.

agree, catch him alone without Other DS and ask him matter of fact, no pressure, no anger why he wrote that.

&-8 years seems to be a difficukt time for a lot of kids, they start to see the big bad world around them and start to feel pressures and even guilt that younger children don't. They start to realise the world doesn't revolve around them and that there is so much going on out there, and that they have little or no influence over so many things and people and that their part in it all is very small.

Perhaps he needs a bit of "me time", or perhaps there are other things going on that are upsetting him that he feels he can't talk about. That age are very good at feeling picked on too.

Hope you get to the bottom of it
