Help! Have class of 8-year olds descending this weekend and need ideas!

We are having a disco in our house (have a big basement room) this weekend for dd's 8th birthday. There will be about 20 kids. I am now thinking I need some extra activities to do apart from just dancing as I doubt they will all be occupied by that plus food for 2 hours. I'm not thinking so much of organised games (will be too noisy) as maybe simple craft or fun tasks to carry out.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

erm, my 8yo and his mates - none of them so cool or grown-up, still love a pass the parcel, treasure hunt, that kind of thing - and the last party we had here we did t-shirt painting, which worked out brilliant, a heap of asda bargain 50p t-shirts and some fabric paint

They prob would still like pass the parcel but I was thinking more of things some could do while others were dancing/eating. T-shirt painting sounds great though - will def think more about that! Thanks.

Should have also made clear that dd is the least girly girl ever and scoffs at anything to connnected to preening - make-up, hair, whatever....
