How soft am I?

DD went to soft play with us on Weds and she grew up in front of my eyes.

They have a bouncy castle and she's never wanted to go on it before, always got upset if I took her on it but on Weds she went upto it and tried to climb up so I helped.

She then bounced away (leaning against the walls) and giggled and played with 2 other children and in that one moment she grew up.

How soft is it that I teared up at that point (not too bad eh?)

How soft is it that I did it again when telling my mum (bit worse)

How soft is it that I'm tearing up while writing it again now?

She's not my baby anymore - she'll be 1 on Friday.

Bless you..

It doesnt change... you will have these moments all along the way. When you realise they have reached a new level. I felt like this when DS wrote his name, Learned to ride a bike without stablisers. Sheer joy, tinged with sadness of days gone by.

I'm sure I will be wumpy. I know that as soon as she starts walking that'll be it. Officially a toddler. I'm so excited for her to get to her next milestone but sad about her not being my little baby anymore.
