letting boys hair grow long

Hi my 19 month old ds has never had his hair cut at back, he has lovely curls at the ends dont want them to go. I know it's kinds old fashioned for boys to have long hair but I like it. Is there many out there that have ds's with long hair?

16 month old ds2 has never had his cut (apart from fringe - hate hair going in the eyes) and he's frequently referred to as 'she', which doesn't bother me in the slightest. I love his curls at the back and find brushing them after bathtime really satisfying...must be my substitute for not having a dd !

3.7 year old ds1 has always had traditional boys' 'crop' just because long hair never suited him.

I wish DS1 had long hair, but he has DH's baby-fine hair, nordic blond, and he looks alarmingly like blardy Boris Johnson if it gets even a smidge too long. Blah.

Yet to see with DS2, his is a bit less blond and possibly more of it, so I have hopes...

I caved and had my DS's (2)hair cut for the first time yesterday (it was getting ridiulous!). I have to admit that I am gutted as he looks so grown up. I couldn't even take him- he went with his Dad and I picked him up. I did stuff several handfuls of curls into my pockets as I left though

I also shed several quiet tears too

both my DS have long hair. It is regularly cut though, so is v tidy, but still longer than a lot of girls'

My DS of 21 months has beautiful long (well, longish) blonde wavy hair, and he looks very cute, even if I do say so myself! The 11 year old is also going through a phase of long hair. He has very thick straight hair which I thought would look awful, but it actually looks good. Add my thick shoulder length hair and DD hip length long hair we all look like the Hair Bear Bunch! I'm a big fan of boys with long hair - much better than short, spiky, highlighted do's

it is past his shoulders and IMO he looks fab
