First tooth has come out, but not all of it!

DS1 (5) has lost his first tooth but it seems that there is a little bit left in his mouth. Will it just come out on its own?

It is not the new tooth as that was already growing up behind the old tooth.

I can't say I really know Reg, but I would worry it could get infected and take her to the dentist anyway.

When's his next dental appointment?

This happened to me, there was a little piece left over, sat behind the new tooth. The new tooth was fully grown before the old bit became loose enough to pull out. I grabbed it with tweezers - I was older than 5, but younger than 10.

THanks for the replies, I had to go away for a bit. I was hoping that I was being overly worried but it doesn't look like it. Will call the dentist on Monday
