Hi I hope that I can get some advice about what to do with DS.
He is 3.5 and has been potty trained for over a year now, it was very easy "training" him as one day he decided to wear pants and after a couple of accidents that was that.
I have had payback for how easy that was since then though!
When we were on holiday in September he started wetting his pants again - he would say he needed a wee but refuse to get on the loo so weed everywhere - this happened the whole time we were away. It transpired that he wanted to climb onto the loo BY HIMSELF and as there was no stool for him to do this he would rather wee on the floor than let me help him. Now if we are out and about I use the sanitary bin as a stool and things are fine.
That was several months ago and he has now developed another issue. Now he waits till the last possible minute before asking to go for a wee. He is literally dancing about. He then wants me to take ALL of his clothes off before he will climb onto the loo. I have lost rack of the number of times he has not made it.
I am not making a big deal out of it but I am not sure what to do.
Ever since he started potty training he has always had to be in control - he will go for a wee when HE wants to, not when I ask him to and this latest development seems to be an extension of this.
I;ve tried talking to him about it but do not seem to be getting anywhere. I am fed up cleaning up wee so would appreciate any insights
