DS is 19mo and has recently been coming to tell me that he's filled his nappy, like wise when he's not wearing one, he tells me hes just about to do a wee wee!
Is it about time to start the potty training??
Any advise? 1st time mom x

This sounds really positive behaviour i would definately invest in a potty or toilet seat, and just see how it goes, try not to put any pressure on him, and don't expect too much, but it seems like your nearly there anyway if he recognises when he needs a wee, hes a genious. good luck.xx

my ds has been doing this for a bit now too - we got the potty out and introduce some bum of time on a night so he can go on the potty if he so wishes - if he does something we make a huge fuss of it..... been doing this on and off now and will cont momentum a bit longer til he talks better then go for it by which time he will have gotten over any fear as we have yet to have a potty poo.

we have also had the mini toilet seat on to see if he ever fancies sitting on that

We have a small loo seat as well which we pop DS2 on - we too get a mwarning when he needs a poo (he is 19 months as well).
I would pop your DS on the potty or a loo seat when he needs a wee or poo so he gets used to this and then he will get the hang of it in his own time.
Agree with no pressure and keeping it casual.
