Babywearers - anyone tried an onbuhimo?

Think that's the right word - like a mei tai with rings instead of lower set of straps. Have fallen in love with a beautiful one.

Only thing stopping me is DS is 17 months - we get on great with my Toddlerhawk but want to make sure onbuhimo is supportive enough for a good few months.

I have an onbuhimo - love it when I find people who've heard of one! Mine's a Sachi.

It's not super supportive, but then I don't really do back carries (so my muscles aren't used to them - have carried 2.5 yo on front ) so I'm not the best to judge.

The lack of waist belt makes them slightly less supportive than a MT but you can use a "conversion belt" aka strap through the rings to make it into a MT.

Will it be tall enough for your 17 mo? If so, go for it.
