let them give it a go. if it doesnt work out then they can move back to seperate rooms. have they ever shared a room?

i think 2 out of 3 of my dd's will always have to share a room due to lack of space.

I used to share a room with my sister and we ahd the other bedroom as our toy room. It meant we only had one room to tidy up, the toy room was always a mess!

It didn't last that long, we decided we wanted our own room after all. I'd say let them give it a go, bet they soon change their mind though!
