DS just walking but refuses to walk anywhere outside?

Well basically thats it. DS 15mths and if I try and take him for a walk outside the house he refuses to step off the drive? Is this normal? I would love to be able to take him for a walk.

He got a trike for xmas and the same thing happens, tears and tantrums.

I've found the same thing with DD. She's 11.5 months and desperate to walk everywhere but she has a fit if we put her down outside. I guess it's normal

Yes it's normal - they get used to it after a while. My nephew was funny with the carpet at my grandparents house (cos it was a really bright red and so different to flooring at home) and grass. Soon got over it though.
