Sleep- waking at 5am

My 10 week old baby goes to sleep at between 8- 8.30pm after his feed and then we give him a dream feed at 11pm. He then always wakes up around 5am but isn't hungry! He will then go back to sleep with the aid of a dummy after a while(which he hardly ever has)It just seems strange as he isn't waking because of hunger, is there any way of dealing with this? .... I'm sure there probably isn't as they seem to do what they want to do, but just thought I'd ask in case any one has any top tips. At 6 weeks old he slept through for a few nights until 7am, but he then got a cold and got out of the habit. I wondered if it had something with digestion that makes him wake...

I don't know if this is your 1st baby, but some babies are just early wakers. If he's not hungry / cold / lonely, it may just be how his body clock is right now. My 2.5yr old has only just stopped getting up anywhere between 4am-6am (partly with the aid of a reward chart)

And if that's your baby's sleep pattern at this age, i'd count yourself very very lucky tbh

Mine did this for a while.
He grew out of it.
Hopefully yours will too!

DS was like this - he's just an early waker. Now at 2.8, he generally wakes at 6.15. It will stretch out abit -if baby is happy and not hungry, cold, dirty, lonely, let him be until he calls for you - may encourage him to stretch out his sleeping time a bit.
